I used to occasionally frequent (yes, I know thats oxy-moronic) KRP in freeport on long island (I know they are still around) and eldies (or was it edlies) in long island on hempstead tpke (near carusos!) I hear that edlee still has a catalog but no store.
As a very little kid (I'm 38 now) I distinctly recall my father taking me to a lafeyette and I remember oogling over some nixie tubes!
