Steve,
See if you can get yourself a Heathkit TC-2. After that get the manuals.
There were supplements to the original tube chart to help you along. Pete
(Manual Man) Marcavage likely has what you need in paper. If not, we can work
something out for copies. If you can hold out for the swap meet on 3/18,
chances are you will find one there. My TC-2 can do 01A's on up. The only thing I
need on my tester is a NE-51 for the short test. AES has it, but not Radio
Shack.
You might get lucky on BAMA. Nostaglia Air may have it also. I tried
BAMA, but the site would not let me download the manual.

Regards,
Joe Devonshire

I'm sure this must be the 1,995,986th question on this subject.

1. How can I check my vintage radio tubes other than replacement and tapping
into the wires to measure current in-situ?

2. Might there be a suitable tube tester for the vintage radio tubes?

3. Might there be a preferred wiring arrangement suitable of testing outside
or radio?

Any/all recommendations welcome,
Steve
