I've been surprised with the response from my suggestion to log on for trouble free reception anytime from CHWO. I don't have a receiver that can do that in my area but I hear where Joe, Bob, and others are coming from. There is a certain mystique listening to a restored 'antique' receiver with the squeels and fading inherent to early broadcasts - it makes the whole experience kind of authentic! It lets you appreciate the variablity of the airwaves and be part of a 'tuned' circuit. Right now I was listening to Chet Baker, one of my favorite jazz artists. It was nice to hear an undistorted recording by streaming audio. So it depends on what floats your boat.
It was an interesting discussion though. Nick
