    Your situation sounds like mine. I was running two dehumidifiers
with only mediocre results.

    I then bought a new dehumidifier. Here's the neat feature: this one
will operate down to 40 degrees. In the past, the basement would get
cool and the dehumidifiers would either shut off or ice up. I have
noticed a major improvement since I put this new one in. It even smells
dry.

    I got this one at Sears. However, you have to read the boxes
carefully because only a few models are built to operate down to 40
degrees.
