I only find two schematics that match your tube line-up in Rider's:
A LaFayette model A18 found in Rider's 8-4. Volume 8 is from 1937. The
set has a 5 position band switch, 4 controls total in a tombstone
cabinet marked LaFayette on the dial.
A TCA (Transformer Corp. of America) model "Clarion" TC66 in Rider's
10-6. Volume 10 is from 1939 and the set has a 3 position band switch
and tone control. No idea what the set looked like.
Neither of these sets sound like your's. I go along with Marty's
suggestion that the set was made by Detrola. In 1941, Detrola Radio &
Television Corp was located at 1501 Beard Ave., Detroit, Mich. Good
chance it was branded as something other than Detrola.
Can you send me a picture or post one on your web site?
