Guys:

That radio pictured in the request for assistance is pictured in Machine Age
to Jet Age II on page 352 and identified as Radio-Glo.

Guys, I just picked up a Philco 42-1012 radio-phono combination. The cabinet
is beautiful. I'd rate it 8 on a scale of 1-10. The wood is literally
lustrous. Unfortunately, the radio suffered significant rodent damage. (I
hate them meeses to pieces).

I'm on the fence about what to do. I may take a shot at rewiring the radio.
On the other hand, if my repair efforts fail (decent odds), I would love to
be able to give the cabinet to someone would could use it. It's just too
nice to toss. I'm in Morris Plains. Any interest?

I bought this radio yesterday. Because the cabinet looked so good, I was
shocked when I got home and found all the rodent damage under the chassis.
In retrospect, I consider the entire incident to be divine retribution for
skipping out on yesterdays's NJARC swapmeet.

Gordon Keehr has asked for help in identifying a radio. Can anyone help
Gordon out? See http://www.njarc.org/member2member.htm for details.

Also, anyone who didn't make it to the InfoAge tailgate party yesterday
missed a really nice event. The weather was hot but it was fairly
comfortable under the trees. It was the first time I attended a club
event in "our yard" and although it was a long trip, it was well worth
it.

Dave
Ruth remembered the radio, she has always fancied one.

Check "Radios Redux" by Phillip Collins, pages 14 and 15. "Radio Glow"
seems to be the model, "Schuster's Milwaukee" is the manufacturer,
circa 1935.

So we can assume that Gorden is not the kid next door, since he bought
it new?
