Can you stand one more thought on the subject?

Many folks are genuinely interested in hanging onto a family heirloom but
have no more aptitude for fixing an old radio than I do for brain surgery
-- or golf. And I think it's a pretty neat thing that the club can
sometimes help them out. If we continue to offer our evaluation/repair
services to the public, accommodating these people will have to be a part
of our mix - they're not likely to want to learn much about radio repair
in the majority of cases. But yes, for member sessions, learning should
be the focus (I thought it was!)
