Hello radio club friends,

We at MARCH (the vintage computer club who'll have a
musuem at Infoage) are having our own "work day" on
Saturday, Nov. 12 starting at 10AM in the hotel
building basement.

Our objective for this day is to catalog the existing
Infoage vintage computer collection (mostly donated
from Dmitri Grabbe; other parts from various sources).
If possible, we'll also prioritize the systems for
restoration. (Unlike most museums, we intend for the
MARCH museum to be fully hands-on! We'd love to have
school and summer camps bring their computer classes
to our museum for hands-on history lessons.)

We're expecting about a dozen of our members to help
on this work day, and we extend the invitation to
NJARC as well. Please do keep in mind that this isn't
an exhibit or a social day.

If anyone * REALLY * wants to help, we are seeking
donations of either strong folding tables or $20 to
help us get started. We recently filed our
incorporation papers and we have a $380 bill due soon.
Anyone who would like to help can do so by visiting
our (extremely temporary) site at
http://www.snarc.net/march/ -- when you're done it
will redirect you to our more permanent page at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/midatlanticretro/ -- and
eventually we'll have a final, real site off of the
infoage site.

I hope that someday our groups can co-host an event
mixing vintage radios and computers. FYI, our next
major public event will be the Vintage Computer
Festival East 3.0, on Saturday, May 13, 2006; see
http://www.vintage.org/2006/east/ for details.

I'll see many of you tomorrow night at the Infoage
mixer event.
