Hello All,

Can we help this fellow? He will send us the model, so helping him helps
us get an SRC-268 exhibit item. We have some photos at InfoAge but no
technical drawings. Is any one aware of the existance of drawings?

Thank you,
Fred Carl

Dear Mr. Carl,

My name is Mike Griffin. I am interested in building a scale model of the
SCR-268 Radar system. Ideally, my project would be a diorama, with the main
radar unit, 60" search light, generator, director, anti-aircraft gun, prime
movers and sound detection unit, set in England or the Pacific during WW II.

My goal is to produce a highly accurate representation of this equipment. I
am an award-winning member of the International Plastic Modelers Society
(IPMS) and the Armor Modeling and Preservation Society (AMPS). I'm in the
research phase and you institution came up on my web search. I am inquiring
as to whether you may have detailed reference documentation on the SCR-268
(or any of the other mentioned equipment). To achieve a "higher than museum
quality" piece, I need as much and as detailed information as I can obtain.
Close-up photos and/or clear copies of original drawings would be ideal.

Upon completion of the project and after a reasonable time of personal
display, I may be willing to donate the diorama to the Infoage Museum, if
that is something that you would be interested in.

Thank you for your time in considering this request. I am located near
Orland, Florida.

Sincerely,
Mike Griffin
