[NJARC] Troubleshooting question

  I'm forwarding this request from Tony, who is having trouble using the refector today.

I need some advice, 
I have been working on a Hallicrafters SW-600 AM/SW receiver. The problem is a buzz through the speaker although always present its heard best when the unit is in the standby mode. The loudness of the buzz increases with volume control. I changed all the elect. caps.with no luck, and it does not seem to be any tubes. 
Can anyone offer suggestions on where to look?
