Gentlemen:

Permit me an obseration or two.

The eBay AM transmitter can be brought to working order with time, effort and money.

Addressing the simplest matter - money - is NJARC prepared to enter bidding on the unit?

If 'yes' - then the 'not to exceed amount' needs to be determined...then the bidder designated.

On the technical issues, one ( or all ) may query the seller via the site page.

On the time and effort issues...does NJARC have members willing and able to get the unit going?

After getting it going...who is licensed to operate it?

As I understand it, the unit can be easily configured to operate on the Ham Radio band of 160 meters.

After fixin'...the only requirements are: antenna & Ham Radio license.

The FCC does permit 'club call sign designation'.

Naturally, all matters need to be supervised and managed by a licensed Amateur Radio operator, of course.

Lastly, there are only a few days left to bring this discussion to action.

Regards,
Steve
