 As far as I know, there's nothing on the books prohibiting the ownership
of a transmitting device, working or otherwise.
Given this unit's local provenance, it would certainly make an interesting
display piece until the day comes when the legal hurdles could be jumped to
make it functional. A possible conversion to carrier current might be a
possibility in the interim.
