[NJARC] "Back bias"?

Hey all you good lookin guys:

I need to insert -50v bias for a set of 1625's in my RF deck.
Max current about 5 Ma.

Came across this method called "back bias" or shunt diode bias wherein a tap/connection is made right at the xmfr secondary ...and an RC arrangement..or diode/RC arrangement is employed ...wallla..negative voltage.

Read that it was employed 'way back when' for radios when selenium's weren't around.
