147.6 to 147.99 MHz are Repeater Inputs.

Absolutely! "Good amateur practices" probably doesn't apply to 2 meters
anyway. Just mostly a bunch of guys/gals on FM with HT's, clusters of
warbler signals, a few guys and things floating around in outer space,
beacons, EME, weak signal SSB, and APRS. 145.5 to 145.8 MHz is the
suggested range for miscellaneous and experimental modes. Of all of our
more popular amateur bands, the 2 meter band is one where I would thread
carefully.
