[NJARC] 2-meter AM Operation

Pete et al,
A while back I asked the ARRL district manager about this. It seems there is 
nothing in the band plan mentioning AM on 2 meters. The experimental 
frequencies were suggested but  we wouldn't want to go on 147.8 for instance as that is 
where the International Space Station is. Bandplans are only suggestions and 
it is legal to operate AM on any frequency above 144.1 in the 2 meter band. I 
don't see a problem as long as resonable steps are taken not to interfere with 
other stations. out modest power and antennas for a brief net are not likely 
to get us in much trouble.
