***NJARC Club Members***,
It is time for us to band together and help Fred Carl prepare the Marconi Hotel for
the big dedication on Aug 13th (see below). Just think, you will be able to tell your
kids or grandkids that you were part of the team that refurbished the hotel where Marconi
himself slept and prepared his ongoing radio experiments. Even if you can only spare a
couple of hours on one of the weekends, please do so. Email me directly at pvourtsis at att.com.

Hello All,
On Saturday, August 13, 2005 at 11AM we will dedicate Camp Evans as
the WWII Living Memorial. Students and visitors will be learning
science and history in the very same buildings important WWII science
and history was made.
Wall Township, Belmar and the County of Monmouth have passed
resolutions naming Camp Evans the WWII Living Memorial.
You are invited to help get the Marconi hotel and grounds ready for
the dedication ceremony.
There are just three work weekend left.
July 23rd July 30th and August 6th.
We are close, but so is August 13th/
Your help is really needed. We have some painting in the hotel,
grounds work and general clean up left. Then on Sunday August 7th we
will start arranging the dozens, if not hundreds of WWII photos, posters
and artifacts in the freshly painted rooms for the dedication visitors
to learn how the Signal Corps helped win WWII and the roll Camp Evans
played. Hopefully we will find some new members and donations.
A few hours of your time on any of these Saturdays will help save
historic Camp Evans, Honor veterans on the last Saturday prior to VJ Day
+ 60 and position Infoage to help education. Three noble benefits with
one gift of time, talent and some sweat.
Please invite members of your organization, or foward this request
to friends who are not afraid of some work.
Bring your favorite paint brush or roller, or hedge clippers, rake
etc.
If you RSVP I can be sure to have enough donuts, drinks etc on hand.
Please, your help is needed.
On this historic anniversary, do more than just reflect upon the
sacrifices of WWII veterans, show them you care by helping the WWII
Living Memorial
Thank you,
Fred Carl
