This helps quite a lot. I believe WWDJ was WJRZ in the 1960s, and 
there's mention of Steve Hollis as a DJ in the 1940s on WAAT, which was 
eventually to become WJRZ. Assuming Steve Hollis worked for the same 
station throughout its changes of call letters, the program "Update" 
would probably been broadcast from WJRZ.

I've left a message at WWDJ, with high hopes.

Pete, if you would like to check with your friend Fred and see if he 
remembers the show, I would be much obliged.
