Hi Rich,
The radios that Joe mentioned comprise the so called liaison set used
for log range communications, usually in CW. You should also look out
for the SCR-274 (aka AN/ARC-5 in the Navy) command set. This was used
for short range communications, e.g. within the squadron, usually in
AM. standard set up, 3 RX and 2 TX covers 3-9MHz on tranceive plus
200-500KHz for flying the ranges and hearing the towers.
Most of the flying restored aircraft I've seen only paid lip service to
the original avionics. There should also be a compass receiver for the
navigator. Later aircraft may have had VHF AM radios such as AN/ARC-3
or SCR-522/
