Whoever helped Jonathan Wonnell with his mid-1970s Yamaha stereo radio
at the spring clinic might be able to help here.  Jonathan writes,

"my Yamaha stereo definitely has a problem.  I never completely hooked
it up after your guys kindly helped me out in the spring.  Now it seems
there is a different problem--no sound, completely dead, but seems to be
picking up an FM signal.  Do you know a guy who maybe has a repair shop
that likes old clunkers?  I'd be happy to pay him."
