[NJARC] Philco Console

At the Aug 12 NJARC meeting/auction a Philco console was sold (it was on the stage with a round dial).  I came across a 1936 Philco advertisement which listed essentially the same model (610j?) for $59.95.  Also listed was a Mod 84B Cathedral for $20.  Considering in 1936 many weekly incomes were about $20 for those lucky enough to have jobs, that was a lot of money.  Also worth considering is that Philco was among the lower priced product lines.  Just a little history to pass on and consider next time you bid at an auction.  Nick Senker
