Hello All,
Last night I had the pleasure of talking to Steve Tetorka, WA2TAK on the 1948 homebrew transmitter that belonged to "W2PLY" on 75M AM 'Fone for the first time. It sounded terrific, gave a good signal and has clear communications quality audio that cut through the QRM on the band. Steve has dilligently restored the transmitter back to working condition, and it's been quite an experience for him to get it back on the air.
I just wanted to say "A job well done" to Steve and hope to enjoy many more QSO's with him and his rig on the air.
For those SWL's, look for Steve in the "AM Window" on 75 meters, between 3870-3890KC, especially 3880 and 3885.
Mod-U-Later,
Joe Cro N3IBX
