Guys & Gals:

Today - the reassembled 1948 home-brew Amateur Radio AM transmitter built by 
W2PLY has had its first QSO since approx. 1973.

Other station said "all AM rigs should sound so good"!

Hats off to Mr. George Shenton - builder.

The 6 foot high X 550 pound rig is fully operational on frequency 3.885 
Megacycles in amplitude modulation mode.
