[NJARC] Requesting Vac. tube info

Whilist on the subject of WE 300B's, would anyone in our group know if  
they're really superior to say a pair of 2A3's in PP? What about a pair of  triode 
connected 6L6G's? 
 
In other words, why are 300B's so special? Do they really deliver  tremendous 
lows and "sonic" highs when say used in a "Williamson" or  like circut?
 
An aspiring "audiophool" wants to know.
