Michael,
Our next repair clinic is scheduled for January 29th in Princeton at
the Sarnoff Library. I would be willing to help you evaluate and possibly
repair the unit that day but that would not work with your holiday schedule.

Subject: [NJARC] NJARC Help ME!
Hi!
I just bought a 1950's (?) Grundig radio/record player console from e-bay. It was supposed to be in working condition, but it isn't (I put a new fuse in, now the lights come on but no sound from the speakers...maybe just the tubes? Also the record player acts a funny). I live in Princeton, NJ and stumbled across the NJARC page. I am curious about trying repairing the unit myself, but I am reluctant since the unit is supposed to be a Christmas present for my fiancee. I wonder if anyone can recommend a radio/record player shop/person in the area? Also, when is your next restoration workshop? Would I learn how to do the repairs from attending the workshop?
Any help anyone can offer is greatly appreciated,
G. Michael Krauthamer
Tubes are as follows:
ECC 85, ECH81, EF89, EABC80, EL84, EM34/35
