Hello people, As I said at OUR NJARC meeting last Friday evening, the club membership is cordially invited to a joint venture with the Hudson Valley Antique Radio & Phono Society[H.A.R.P.S.] WE were invited to tour The Armstrong Tower and facitities in Alpine, New Jersey. The tour is scheduled for this Saturday, Nov. 20th at 10.00 AM. The following are directions from central N.J. Find your way to the New Jersey Turnpike-north. You will follow signs saying "George Washington Bridge bottom level" You will get off at exit #72. Fort Lee-Rt. 9W . YOU MUST PAY ATTENTION! or you will cross the GWB into Manhattan. After exiting you go up to the stop light[intersection of Fletcher st/rd] This is Rt. 9W! MAKE LEFT turn north, you will see the Red Oak Dinner on your left. Continue north on Rt. 9W to Alpine [8 miles] . Need-less-to-say,as you approach Alpine, you will see Armstrong Tower on your left horizon. Almost perpendicular to the tower, is the entrance road, you
will see my pink sign "Welcome H.A.R.P.S. & NJARC " turn-in left. I estimate travel time from Sarnoff library to Armstrong Tower tobe 1 1/2 hours. It was suggested to bring field glasses. You must be on time! At 9:45 coffee & donuts tailgate compliments of H.A.R.P.S. Please contact me via e-mail to confirm your attendance. WE need a head -count. Best Regards, Richard Lee V.P. NJARC radiorich at prodigy.net
