Greetings my fellow enthusiasts,   This past Sundays' edition, page 43, N.Y. Daily Newspaper, has a nice full page article about the history of "transistors" and their use in the "pocket radio".  The piece is written by David Hinckley,  who writes a daily column called --The Radio Dial.  An interesting quote by Walter Brattain, one of the three Bell labs pioneers states that:  "The only regret I have about the transistor is its' use for rock' n 'roll."
