By request, I am re-sending instructions re: the format for sending the
info
on the books you are holding from the Sarnoff Collection to me.
I received a list from Karin & Jerry Dowgin today and had no trouble
with it.
They sent it just as shown below.
Comma delimited text file in the following order
Author,Title,Year
for Author(last name or last name" "first name or last name" "initial(s))
for Title(exact title of book-do not abbreviate)
for Year(Year of publication of this copy)
No additional punctuation between the commas except a dash is OK if part
of author's name or within the title
For multiple authors use an "&"
For first name and/or initials, just use a space and the name or
initials, no additional commas or periods
Do not use all upper case letters
Each record should be on its own line
No special formating-just plain text is perfect
If you do send data from a spreadsheet or database, please save it as a
.txt file
Examples:
Hunt,Electricity for Today,1943
Hunt & Smith,Electricity for Today-A New Theory,1944
Hunt James & Smith RE,Electricity for Today,1950
Send the list to me embedded in an e-mail.
If you have any questions email me.
My email is [email protected]
Thanks
Marsha
