Hi Guys:

Had the 81X putting out a "clean" signal generator output from the 25L6 grid 
to the speaker.
That was some days ago.

Today, thought about  working back into the receiver.
Confirmed the 'nice' 25L6 signal...did a little lookin...then...
Found that my output from the 25L6 grid + sig. gen now has 'loud hum with the 
sig. gen frequeny was way down in the background...I can confirm the sig. gen 
signal by changing the frequency and noting it change in the speaker.

Just like 'that'.

Voltages look the same.
Put in replacement filter caps to see if the previous replacements went.
No change.

Really didn't have a chance to do much.

Did the tube go?
