Frank,

I'm sorry you feel this way. From this point on I will neither sell to
you, nor purchase anything from you, and I will encourage others to do the
same. I used to think you were one of the "good guys", but you have
disappointed me.

Based on your comments above, it is quite obvious that you don't care about
the club at all. I'm sure, in time, the club won't care at all about you.

You know, the club could have sold that radio on ebay if it were for just
the money. But many of us wanted it to go into a members collection, rather
than to be sold on ebay as some had suggested earlier. So we convinced
the officers to auction it locally and we had it in a club auction just for
members. Thanks to you, it ended up being sold on ebay anyway - and at
quite a profit.

I fear your ebay actions may have forever changed the directions of
auctions at the NJARC in the future, and none of us will ever get the
opportunity to bid on something nice for our collections there ever again.

In the interest of keeping interesting things in our auctions, several of
us will try to have a policy adopted, for when selling "club owned" "ebay
bait" at auction, the winning bidder will have to sign a document promising
not to sell or trade the item for (at least) 12 months, and that they are
buying it for their collections. Hopefully that will stop profiteers like
you from coming in and ruining the club auctions.

As it stands right now, they want to stop offering nice things, and to only
ebay them - thereby removing member benefits and diminishing the value of
our memberships.

I and many others have worked very hard in the past to solicit, and go
pick-up, and then sort, and store items for the club, just so we could have
an auction, and to provide items at reasonable prices for members who are
new or who do not have the ability to find parts on their own; to help them
get started collecting and restoring radios.

This is what a club should be all about, helping each other - not helping
our selves.
