[NJARC] Tailgate Swap Meet

We probably should have more "tailgate" affairs and here are some of my
comments.
First, we already have a free ready made space at Camp Evans around
cottage # 2, shaded, under the trees, with easy access from major
highways. No tables but most of us tailgate or spread out on the grass
and some of us have tables as well. A little bit of advertising would
bring in newcomers. Eventually we can use the parking lot and maybe
even inside space across the road.
Second, it's been quite a few years since I went to Englishtown but it
was pretty grungy then, don't know if it's any better but why diliute
our effort by mixing with the tube sock merchants? At Camp Evans we can
set our own schedule and do not have to worry about buying a set amount
of tables on a regular basis. Any table fee at Camp Evans would flow to
the club or our efforts there not to Englishtown.

There is a bunch of space and the owners are willing to negotiate a lower rate if we reserve a minimum number of tables. Since this is in an active flea market there is also the possibility of recruiting new members (or more buyers). If there is sufficient interest Phil is willing to treat this like a club function and put us on the website, etc.
