[NJARC] Tailgate Swap Meet

The guys in Long Island have a swapmeet the first Sunday of the month in Ronkonoma LI at the home of a member of their club who is on a main street and has the appropriate property -- I have not attended in over a year but had been somewhat regular for over 5 years... Seemed like they got about 20 or so tailgaters and between 25 and 50 "buyers" ... Obviously very casual but very nice. They started asking $5 for the sellers to cover extra insurance the homeowner had to get.

Prior to that they were using a parking lot in an industrial park - an older factory/warehouse type building on Sunday morning when no one was there for business purposes..

This meet attracted people from NNJ, Westchester, NYC.  As some might know Ronkonoma is way out there - about 1hr 20 mins plus from the NYC border and a 2 toll trip but none the less people came - perhaps they still do -- see their monthly ad for this meet in ARC...

So this is a good idea I think ..
