>This is a brief report on the October 2003 Atlantique City Antique &
>Collectible Show and the Association of Collecting Clubs (ACC) booth. This
>was the first time that ACC has prepared a show booth for the promotion of
>collecting clubs. The Atlantique City Show management, Ted Jones and Mary
>Ann Torres and the rest of their staff, were very accommodating. The
>management provided ACC 1-1/2 booths and we took it from there.
>
>Our initial goal was to have 50-60 clubs participating so we could offer
>the show-goers a good variety of club opportunities. By the time the show
>got started we had over 130 participating clubs with a wide, wide range of
>collecting interests. We were also happy to have several clubs from Great
>Britain and Canada represented.
>
>Clubs provided promotional materials, and we pulled items from our own
>personal inventory to illustrate the collectibles of many of the
>participating clubs. The show attendees expressed a lot of interest in the
>booth and thousands of pieces of material were selectively picked up.
>Although it may take awhile, we hope that some of this exposure will
>generate some new members for your clubs.
>
>A number of people representing various clubs, both participating and
>non-participating, also stopped by and seemed to like what they saw. We
>were able to take a few photos - perhaps you'll recognize someone you
>know!. Please go up on the ACC website at http://collectors.org and scroll
>down the homepage until NEWS to view the full show report which also
>includes the listing of participating clubs.
>
>ACC is pleased to have this partnership with the Atlantique City Show -
>the largest indoor antique & collectible show in the world - which is
>sponsored by Antique Trader, a Krause publication.
>
>And, now for the REALLY GOOD NEWS!
>
>The next Atlantique City Antique & Collectible Show will be on Saturday,
>March 27 and Sunday, March 28, 2004 at the same location, the Atlantic
>City Convention Center. And ACC again plans to be there - promoting
>collecting clubs and club memberships - with an expanded 2-1/2 booth area!
>Plus, we may have some other activities for participating clubs during the
>2-day show.
>
>Let us know if your club is interested in participating in the ACC booth
>at the March show. You will need to provide 100 promo fliers or member
>brochures on your club or society. E-mail us at: [email protected]
