John and Club
Well, there was the ATT Long Lines transmitter site. I remember seeing
it as a kid on a Sunday drive with the family. Who does that anymore? A
whole field of Rhombic pointed in every conceivable direction. But I
think you have a different station in mind.

DVRA has had the Hamfest at the The National Guard Armory in
Lawrenceville, NJ off and on for as long as I have been going to
Hamfests. That was when R-390s used to go for $25 to $40, mid 70's for
those who don't remember. I used to live near the Brunswick Circle not
far from there. Great 'fest. I believe the armory was built before
mechanized artillery, so one of the buildings was used to stable the
horses.

As a kid and a member of the Civil Defence Radio Net, I used to attend
meetings with Dallas Fogg, Ray Whitley, Dr. Wizmer and a few others whose
names I can't recall. Dal was a past president of DVRA and a founding
member if I remember correctly. Great people who took the time to get me
interested in radio.

Wish I could make it!

Regards from Arkansas,
Jim and Ruth
