Rob: I'm going to post your message over to my other club's listserve,
the ATCA
Antique Telephone Collectors Association. They have plenty of folks
that have these things, both repro and original.

Is it a Western Electric phone?

Hi,
I have a 1928 telephone that I am going to use in my "Back to the
Future"
program at Howell Living History Farm in Mercer County, NJ. The cord
connecting the handset to the base is terribly frayed and I would like
to
install a reliable, historically correct replacement. Where can I get
the
4-conductor, cloth-covered cord I require(doesn't have to be rubber
inside,
no-one will see).

Antique Electronic Supply only has 2-conductor power cord and
8-conductor
battery set cord.

By the way, if anyone wants to help demonstrate phones, radios, or other
electric stuff, let me know. The program is May 10(soon!!). See the
Calendar of Events on www.howellfarm.org for more info.
