[NJARC] NJARC Ham Radio Net?

I was involved in a conversation at the repair clinic on
Saturday where
the subject of an NJARC net was brought up. There does seem
to be an
increasing number of new or recently "out-of-the-closet"
hams in the
club. I think we should give this a shot and see what happens.

Mode of operation should probably be voice. I can manage
either AM or
SSB. (AM would be a better tie in with "antique.")

I don't think anything higher than 7.3MHz is going to work
out for the
regional coverage we need. However, even a low diplole will
do the job
at hand. See: http://www.qsl.net/wb5ude/nvis/

Time would have to be evenings or weekends as most of us
still work.
There also exists the possibility of early AM, 06:00?,
even on a weekday.
80 meters should work early morning and late afternoon, but
I think we'd
have trouble controlling a frequency at night. 40 is usable
at mid day
but gets covered up by foreign broadcasters as the afternoon
progresses.
160 may have potential similar to 80 with less QRM, but
there's always
the antenna challenge.

So, who's interested?

All I need is one guy to set up a sched, and we'll see where
it goes.
