Although official transfer of the property is still in limbo, the board
has decided to charge on and intensify our activities in spite of
bureaucratic foot dragging. One member is working on revising the
by-laws and setting up a more formal organization and also expanding the
board to bring on more fund raising potential. The other members were
very impressed with the work that NJARC has accomplish so far at cottage
#2. (Report on latest work day to follow). Henceforth, the board will
meet monthly, generally on the 3rd Tuesday. A monthly newsletter is
also planned starting in August and we will periodically be asked for
input. As you may know, Fred has tried to keep cottage #1 open on
Sunday afternoons by manning it himself. This is not always possible
and he is going to away in July and we feel that it is important to set
regular hours so that it can be advertised. Therefore, the
participating groups will be asked to provide personnel on a rotating
basis to man the cottage on Sunday afternoons. For us right now, that
will mean supplying an attendant every three or four weeks from 1:00 PM
to 4:00 PM. Infoage material and briefing will be provided to those who
take on this duty and it will provide an opportunity to" toot our
horn". I'll be looking for volunteers soon. Incidentally, at the board
meeting, a rather nice Atwater Kent 40 with E type speaker was donated
to Infoage and I offered to have it checked out at the next repair
clinic so that it could made operational in cottage #1.
