Dave: The RCA model 143 was a premium radio set in the RCA line up for
1934. Its famous "shoulder style" cabinet is sought after by collectors as
being somewhat unique, not completely in the tombstone or the cathedral
style genre. Grinder's book, "The Radio Collector's Directory and Price
Guide" shows it as between $300 and $600 in value in good to excellent
condition. Recent eBay sales for this model supports those prices.
Condition is the main variable. A good *original finished* cabinet without
veneer problems and not scratched up will be on the high side, as common
sense would dictate.
The 6B30 is a Wilcox Gay set and Recordio is a sort of "trade" name they
gave to their products that would record audio in early models to a disk and
then later models to tape. The 6B30 was the former. Some also included a
radio as did the 6B30. The above price guide lists this as worth between
$50 and $150. These seem to have little collector interest, for some reason
but there is a few collectors who deal with this type of equipment and if
it's in great condition may get more than what's indicated in the price
guide on eBay or some other selling venue.
Hope that helps.
Phil
