The correct speaker would be an Atwater Kent model E, E2 or E3. Click on

The speaker is high impedance, between 1,000 or 2,000 ohms. I don't know
the value of the E model speakers. A horn speaker or any early remote
speaker will work if it has the cloth cord with the two separate pin
connectors. Some had the paper cone enclosed in a housing and others had
the cone exposed. Peerless is a very common speaker and a nice one can
usually be found for between $20 and $60. Depends on location, who's
selling, etc.
A modern speaker will also work with an impedance matching transformer.
Find a trashed tube radio with a magnetic speaker and make your connections
to the input of the output transformer and it should work.
