Hi Rich,
Meissner Mfg. Co. of Mt. Carmel, Illinois published in the late 30's,
an orange colored book showing the schematics of various types of
radios, even a 5" TV. The purpose was to stimulate the sales of
their RF and IF transformers, used in the receivers.
In 1939 I built their 'Broadcast 6' and it worked well. It used a 6K7
RF amp, 6A8 osc-mixer, 6K7 IF, 6Q7 det & 1st audio, 6G6G audio
output and 6X5 rectifier. They also showed a "6 tube AC deluxe
TRF schematic. It used three 6K7 RF amps, a 6Q7 det and 1st
audio, 6V6 output audio and a 5Y4G rectifier.
I have never heard that Meissner manufactured receivers
themselves.
If you wish, I can bring my copy of the book to the next meeting to
show you.
Best regards,
Ben
