[NJARC] Wire Gauge question for Zenith

Hello to all,
I'm planning on restoring, actually completely replacing all of the
wire in a Zenith console chassis along with recapping it. All of the wire
insulation in there now is crumbling. It is a model 10S669 from 1941. It is
one of their typical BC and SW sets with the single control for power, volume
and band selection. It has the push buttons for preset station selection and
tone. Physically, the chassis is in excellent condition, save for the wire
and caps.
My question is what is the typical wire gauge used in the Zenith? The
schematic does not give any wire gauge and I'd rather err on the side of
caution and use a larger gauge than something smaller. I would like to keep
the colors as close to the original as possible and AES looks like a good
source. The cabinet needs a lot of work to repair the delamination of the
veneer and other structural problems. This is a true labor of love project.

I look forward to your responses and thanks in advance.
Joe Devonshire
