 From the cc-awa list......

Hi All,

I had hoped to file a few reports on the Lansing meet as it progressed
but after two successful connects to my ISP I would get cut off by the
hotel PBX before my machine could make a download... No problem here at
Parkersburg, WV

All in all the Lansing meet remains one of the best I know of in the
country.... It is compact enough to make sure that there is always
something to do... It offers programming, contests & auctions that make
it worth traveling from long distances (its about 740 miles for us).
Contest participation was good but some of the judging criteria remain a
complete mystery to me...

The 40x120 tent full of vendor tables at the center of the flea market
works just great.... The hospitality setup is the best! I am impressed
by how many volunteers participate in running this show. This has got to
be an expensive meet but I did not hear complaints since things seem to
move very smoothly.

There was a good variety of equipment to be had but there was a notable
lack of the really exotic early wireless and 20's vintage equipment... I
for one, did not come back with a single radio.... but I did get a number
of 20's magazines to fill out my collection..... Do I hope to return to
Lansing? You Bet!
