I vigorously recommend seeing this collection. It's
universally praised as being a superb one, lovingly
orgainzed and clearly displayed. (Having seen it,
I agree. He spent 25 years developing it!)
It probably wouldn't be hard to get Bro. Dowd to
meet a group; his retirement home is on-campus.
I can get you-all in contact with him.
The display site is no longer the Engineering
Library as such; it is now simply a reading
room.
The location isn't a particularly threatening
part of the Bronx.
If any of you have TCA Special Pub No. 1, you
have a clear idea of what's displayed; it's an
index to the 60-odd display panels.
