[NevadaARES] Thursday night ARES Net

Just a reminder, each Thursday evening at 7PM is the NV ARRL Section ARES net. This can be reached by IRLP on the Western Reflector channel 8, node 9258 or Echolink conference node NV-Gate 152566.

Last evening Kent W7AOR connected the IRLP system to the Clark County ARES/RACES repeater network. The coverage did help with the number of southern NV stations checking into the net. 

The purpose of the net is to share information from around the State
regarding ARES activities and exchange ideas of how to improve
statewide communications. Last night's discussion dealt mainly with hospital communications, and the anticipated use of a software package that incorporates Winlink software with standard amateur radio messaging formats. 

Repeaters in Las Vegas which are continually linked to the State wide system of ARES repeaters in Elko, Tonopah and Reno can be found on:
