Subject: New ARES Net Tonight


The "NV Section ARES VoIP Net" is scheduled to begin
tonight, Thursday, on IRLP node 9258 and Echolink
conference node NV-Gate 152566 at 7PM.

Check with your local IRLP repeater owners on how to
connect to the Western Reflector channel 8.

IRLP is the only way repeaters across the State can be
"linked" onto one network. The purpose of the net is
to provide a means for ARES/RACES leaders and members
to discuss issues associated with ARES/RACES programs.

Topics of discussion could include:
1. Mutual assistance programs
2. Notification plans
3. Training goals and standards
4. Mobile communications
5. Regional and local communications 

The net may be heard on the WADG system in Reno, NV;
W7LKO repeater in Elko, NV; NARRI repeater in Tonopah,
NV; and the NARRI repeaters in Clark County.

In areas without IRLP coverage, Echolink software may
be used instead.

In Clark County the net may be found on the following:

147.00 (123pl) - Downtown
447.725 (107.2pl)- Downtown
447.00 (100pl)- Sunrise Mt.
145.37 (123pl)- Angel Peak

Please note that not all repeaters may be connected to
9258 for this net.
