[NevadaARES] SKYWARN Recognition Day

The Las Vegas Regional SKYWARN Web site "News and

Las Vegas amateur radio SKYWARN will once again be
participating in SKYWARN Recognition Day. SRD 2005
will be held on December 3rd, Saturday. We will be
operating from the Las Vegas NWSFO from the LVRAC
communications trailer from 1500 to 2400 Zulu. Bands
of operation include: 40, 20, 15, 10, 2 meters and
440. The modes of operation will be primarily SSB
phone and VoIP. Station callsign WX7LAS

If you're interested in participating, please let me
know. 

There will also be a SKYWARN net control operators
meeting scheduled for 9 am at the LVRAC trailer. All
Las Vegas SKYWARN net control operators should attend
this meeting. 

The weekly, SKYWARN net is held on VoIP repeaters
147.000 (123pl) and 447.000 (100pl)in Las Vegas, WADG
repeater system in Reno/Carson City, and on simplex
146.46 in Pahrump and 146.415 in Tonopah (K7LAF). The
net can be found on Echolink NV-GATE conference node
and Western Reflector Ch. 8 node 9258 at 7 pm, 
Wednesdays.
