[NevadaARES] Skywarn Recognition Day

Greetings from Elko,

Enjoyed the Skywarn activities again this year. Set up the A4S
tribander and the Hustler 4-BTV antennas last weekend in
November. Had planned
on some Friday night operating but work had to come first so
operations
began in earnest Saturday morning at 1737Z and ran to 2357Z.

We used Joe, N7JEH's Kenwood and my Yaesu FT-847 mainly on 40 and
20
meters respectively although Joe and Frank did work 15 for a
couple of
hours around local noon.

We managed to garner 243 contacts including 33 of the weather
stations.
Of the nearby WX stations we contacted Vegas, Salt Lake City and
Boise
all on 40 meters.
