I did an interview about Ham Radio and BPL today with Amy Nelson, a
reporter for WUNC radio (the NPR affiliate for Raleigh-Durham). She also
interviewed Garrick Francis, a spokesman for Progress Energy.

The story should be broadcast during a local insert in the Morning Edition
program on Monday morning (February 23). That program runs from 5 to 9 AM
EST, and I would expect the story to run at least twice - once early and
again later. It might also run at noon and during the afternoon news block
from 4 to 6, but Amy just mentioned the morning block. It is a local
story, not an NPR network story.

WUNC is at 91.5 FM from Chapel Hill, 90.9 FM Rocky Mount, and 88.9 FM from
Columbia (they say Manteo) covering the Outer Banks.

If you're outside the coverage area, it's streamed in RealAudio from their
web site: www.wunc.org.

While you're digging into NPR, you might be interested in this story on the
new Morse Code character for "@", featuring an interview with the ARRL's
Rick Lindquist N1RL.
