I would advise contacting Toyota about it, at one time
they had a 10 watt limit before it voided your warrenty.

At the VERY least I would locate the ECM (computer) on the
car and route your power feeds and coax as far away as possible.
Use #10 wire direct to the battery, a good hard ground from the
radio to the chassis and the same at the antenna mount.

Good luck, I've heard of folks 2 meter radios killing the 
Toyota ECMs with one keydown.
