Hi Folks,
I need help for 2 Marathons in the upcoming months. 1st is The Equinox
September 19th that starts just North of Masonville and heads to Hyw 14
then down to just West of Ted's Place (Hwy 287), the 1/2 start is at
Mishawaka. I mainly need aid station help and mobile radios are a must
minus a couple spots.
The next race is The Colorado Marathon October 24. This race starts at
Steven's Gulch up The Poudre and ends up in Old Town Ft. Collins, the 1/2
start is a few miles West of Ted's Place. For the lower course HT's are
adequate with a spare battery or HT with mobiles required for areas in the
canyon. Mainly need aid station help for this also.
Not confirmed yet, but I may need someone with the ability to operate out
of a UCHealth vehicle, non ambulance Superviser unit, this should include a
mobile radio, mag mount antenna and battery.
These are fun events with runners acknowledging you and thanking you for
what you do, as well as I and the marathon owners. These races have a non
profit side and they give back to the community in various different ways.
I am planning on a training session mid to late August to help any Hams
that have never operated at an event like this to show you how it works,
it's a great way to improve your skills in comm's.
Please respond to this email or reach me at 970-219-6768.
Thanks,
Marty Gerlach KC0QOK
