As a member of the Longmont ARC, I received this closing email.

The location given was SE of Longmont.

The event is over.

Thank you for all your help. After working with the manufacturer of the transmitter, it looks like the signal might be gone at this time.



There were several things stacked against us this time.



1. The falconer let several days pass before I was contacted.



2. We discovered all transmitter companies are not created equal.

A. The company I use (marshall), has my identifier broadcast every 10 min and the beacon every 1 sec. and lasts 10 days.

B. The company, Merlin, that he was using, does not have the identifier required by fcc. This created a problem chasing false signals.

CR 7. Only 7 days left on battery life. Please forward to anyone that may be
able to help.
